An Empowered Woman

What is a 'Secret Warrior Prynsecc'?

Empowered Women of SWP

Secret 1) This references the Netflix documentary, The Secret-–the elementary building blocks and overall crash course about the Law of Attraction. 2) This is also slight in reference to Princess Kida of Atlantis as she is referred to as the "Forgotten Princess" or “Lost Princess” of the “Lost City of Atlantis.” And my No.1 all-time favorite Disney Princess. Princess Kida is from my favorite Disney movie, Atlantis (second to The Incredibles franchise). I especially love it because the movie doesn’t have what I call fluff….sing-a-long songs.

You've probably read about her towards the end of my story on the About Me page here

Warrior This is a tribute to my two favorite princesses–-Xena: The Warrior Princess and Princess Kida of Atlantis. Xena, played by New Zealand actress, Lucy Lawless, was the first character I absolutely admired on TV. It aired around the time I was born, so I ended up watching reruns on end of the show most of my early childhood years. Much like the, fictional character, young Cattleya from the movie Columbiana (which I admired too....when I was in high school), I wanted to be just like Xena: The Warrior Princess. To top it off, Lawless has a role in one of my favorite comedies: Parks & Recreation (in addition to The Office and Brooklyn Nine-Nine).

Wow! When I think about it, characters Xena and Kida have always been intertwined, interconnected for me since childhood through to college. Kida, voiced by Cree Summer has a familiar personality and 'aura' to that of Lisa Bonet. Summer and Bonet both starred in The Cosby Show spinoff sitcom, A Different World. Speaking of which, Mom would get her annual craving to watch the entire show, from start to finish, just about every year! So, yeah. That show too, was a definitive aspect of my childhood. Bonet didn't star past the first season of A Different World, yet I checked out some of her other works and tried to stay connected to her in some way, because I just liked her so much. I liked her role in Enemy of the State and I even followed some of her daughter's work (Zoe Kravitz): The Divergent Series, Mad Max: Fury Road, X-Men: First Class and her collaboration with a favorite artist of mine, Janelle Monae, on the track Screwed off of Dirty Computer the album. It would just complete my perfect little imaginary world if Monae and Kravitz we, like, best buds or something, but I think Tessa Thompson has dibs on Monae already. I guess, to supplement that, Thompson is an amazing creator herself, especially her collaboration with Chris Hemsworth--my second all-time male actor and hero character!

Don't worry Alice! We're almost through this rabbit hole!

And finally, Bonet--she's married to Jason Momoa, my No. 1 all-time male actor and hero character! And the hero he plays is King Arthur….of Atlantis!!

Wow! When I think about it, characters Xena and Kida have always been intertwined, interconnected for me since childhood through to college.

Prynsecc That’s me! Prynsecc Jackson, your host while you are here at Secret Warrior Prynsecc.

SWP is about unraveling those interconnected parts of your life, whether it be through characters, movies, books, or music; fictional or non-fictional. And just like my own intertwined, crazy web of connections earlier, obviously personal for me, I'm sure you have your own--just as big, just as far reaching, just as deep. And maybe you just need some help unraveling it all.

By seeking out to understand your own intertwined, interconnected story that already is, the one that is tied to your own experience is a choice. So, if you choose, you can begin to uncover treasures in, and through your story, and mining these treasures can uncover even greater riches (literally and metaphorically). Yes, many in our culture are experience gluttons, but this tribe isn't necessarily about "places to go, people to see"; or even having more experiences. Again, if you so choose, subscribe at the bottom of this page, SWP will aide those looking to look deeply into their own experiences and their own stories, to mine what's already been deposited in heart and mind for better growth + development, fun + recreation, and environment. And who knows, you might just feel like a baddie warrior princess in the end after all!

Now, without further ado....(don't forget to subscribe at the bottom of this page)

Welcome to The SWP Tribe!
